This tallow and honey balm comes in a screw top container. I've read and seen a lot about tallow recently and how it is an excellent natural skin care ingredient. This moisturiser is nice and feels nice on skin. It is very nourishing and I can tell the difference with my skin in the morning if I have it on overnight. I was worried that it might smell a bit funny with it being beef tallow but it doesn't and it isn't too greasy either.

This Baby & Kids Tallow Balm comes in a 120ml screw-lid jar, neatly packaged in a nice case with a tin lid. I've actually used a few products from NaturallyMum before - mainly their balm for my elder son who has eczema and it's worked wonders, so I already had high hopes for this one. The balm is completely natural - no weird ingredients or synthetic fragrances - which is really reassuring when you're putting something on delicate baby skin. The texture is rich but melts in easily, and I love that it's made with grass-fed beef tallow, chamomile, and lavender. The scent is very gentle and calming, not overpowering at all. I've used it on everything from flaky cheeks and little dry hands to a nappy balm. It's pretty versatile, and a little really goes a long way. My baby's skin stays soft and moisturized for hours, even after a bath. One of the things I really appreciate is how nourishing it feels. I've read that tallow is rich in vitamins like A, D, and E, and it definitely shows - this balm has been great for soothing and calming any irritation. Bonus points for being handmade in the UK - it just feels like a brand that genuinely cares. I'm really pleased with this product and happy to recommend it for its natural formulation and how well it moisturised my son's delicate skin.

Beautifully presented in a cardboard tube with metal lid, and then the pot inside, it would look great in a pamper baby basket. So, having opened, (and having used tallow based creams for a while), I was interested in this as it has olive, castor seed oil and beeswax in it as well as lavender and chamomile, and it all comes together really well! It is more greasy than a pure tallow, but greasy is not quite the word. More emollient than greasy I think is accurate. I have troublesome patches of dry skin, as does the LO, and our faces in the colder weather really do suffer from dry skin. Just on my overly dry hands overnight, one application (and it was a bit generous!) has made a real difference. I think less is more, so bear that in mind. Made my hands feel and smell lovely, but the smell was not overpowering. At £14.99 is a little bit expensive however, if this works for you, as it has for me, then maybe more is less in this case as I will spend more and experience less hassle with skin issues.So, this is a big thumbs up from me!

This product seems very well suited for use on any dry skin. It has a really nice texture, with a quality look-and-feel to it. When I first tried it - just testing a small amount - it seemed to melt onto my skin, leaving a soft, smooth texture to what was previously quite a dry area of skin. I particularly like the act that it is also safe for newborns. This will be a welcome addition to my family's skin care products - especially for my grandchildren.
